{Jo & Guy} Wedding

Jo and Guy’s big day was one of those weddings that you can’t help but just go “WOW”. We met up a couple of times before their wedding (including for their engagement shoot) to discuss the photo details. I always love these early meetings – getting to hear all about the ideas, the people involved and the excitement of it all coming together. With the ceremony in Berwick-upon-Tweed Town Hall (just over the border! Making it officially my first wedding in England!) and the reception in the village of Etal, Northumberland, Jo and Guy’s attention to detail and the ideas they had – well, just wonderful. I came away from the first meeting having seen the handmade cake stands and bunting actually being created before my eyes…

The day itself was packed full of details, bringing in their love of plants and flowers (from the hand-picked floral arrangements in the Town Hall, to the basil, chive or coriander seeds as favours) and their creativity (from the handmade table plan to the name cards and bunting). I could go on and on, it was just amazing (but must note the big red London bus that took the guests to the reception!).

The genius speeches and evening ceilidh, followed by a very special performance by Stornoway (close friends of the couple, one of the bestmen included!) rounded off a fantastic day :)

Here are a few of my favourites…
