You may remember Susanne and Oli from their engagement shoot back in May, when I travelled south to Maidenhead to meet them. Hearing about their wedding day back then, I couldn’t help but get excited about their upcoming wedding day, listening to all their plans…I couldn’t wait! And I’m pleased to report my excitement was completey justified!
Their July wedding took place at Susanne’s childhood home and farm in Tarves, Aberdeenshire. With the barn decked out with a marquee, stunning flowers, beautiful table settings (including handmade straw table name cards), dance floor, bar and an extension that served as the ceremony area, the surrounding fields of flowers and wheat that went on for as far as the eye could see… I could go on and on – it was all just wonderful and created the most amazing setting.
While it rained for most of the day (there was much tactical umbrella usage for photos!), it didn’t once put a dampener on the celebrations and Susanne’s Dad still managed to get the fire going for the courtyard-warmth at the end of the night. I was very impressed!
It was a pleasure to be part of such an amazing day, for two of the loveliest people. Congratulations again Susanne and Oli!
Here’s a few of my favourite photos from the day…
