{Laura & Andrew} Wedding

I first met Laura and Andrew the day of their engagement shoot – a chilly Glasgow afternoon where we walked the streets around GCA and I had a ball taking some pics and hearing all about the plans for their big day. And what a wonderful day it was…

Arriving at Laura’s parents’ house I was a big bag of excitement! Having had a couple of chats with Laura on the phone in the week before I was still hearing about all these fantastic ideas she had planned for the day and I couldn’t wait to see them. Being a bit early I had a quick wander round the village – Athelstaneford (home of the Saltire, no less!) – and enjoyed the views out across the fields towards North Berwick. A wonderful atmosphere greeted me at the house and I had a grand old time chatting away the family whilst snapping away.

Off to Wedderburn Castle, near Duns, I went – what a beautiful venue, packed full of character and charm. A few pictures of Andrew and his boys finishing up their outfits as well as a quick game in the billiard room (there was a billiard room!! Amazing!) and it was almost time to get the rest of the day underway.

I’ll let the photographs explain the rest of this truly amazing wedding: the gorgeous flowers in tea cups and tea pots; the vintage cameras; touching and hilarious speeches in equal amounts; and of course a good old boogie (thank you David Bowie)… Amazing. Most of all though, look out for Laura and Andrew and just how in love these guys are and how they brought all that to their big day.

Congratulations again L&A! xx
