One thing I love about this job is being able to travel to new places. When Miles and Katie first emailed me about shooting their May wedding in Ardnamurchan, the most westerly point of the UK mainland, I hadn’t appreciated just how stunning the location was. It was amazing to explore part of Scotland I’ve never had the opportunity to visit before.
Having spent a great afternoon in York for Miles and Katie’s engagement shoot, hearing all about their plans as we wondered the streets, it was so clear just how in love these guys are and how their friends and families were in for a treat of a wedding. Add that to the amazing wedding location – the views, the fresh air, the all round loveliness of them both and I was beyond excited.
Katie & Miles got married at Acharacle church, followed by their reception at the stunning Glenborrodale Castle. By the way this year is going, I was fully expecting a traditional west coast wet weather wedding! But it was not to be – the sun shone brightly for them.
I’m so pleased to be blogging this wedding, albeit a couple of months late, as it’s nice to see some sunshine and the smiles of these two. Congratulations again guys! Amazing day :) x
