“So then the owl will fly in and deliver the rings to the bestman, Neil.” So said Ryder at my final meeting with him and Renate a couple of weeks before their big day.
It’s true – they had a snowy barn owl deliver the wedding rings to their bestman midway through their wedding ceremony. It was amazing! Just one of the many memorable moments of the day for me. The others? Well I’m torn between the general all round atmosphere of celebration, to the quiet, loving moments these two had together when I took their couples shots, to the laughter they share constantly.
I smiled so much at Renate and Ryder’s wedding that my cheeks ached. Seriously. I also laughed so hard at points I feared my pictures would be blurry… (thank goodness for image stabilisation! I love you, Canon). Most of all, it was just a wonderful, happy day.
Renate and Ryder married at the picturesque Hoscote House near Hawick in the Scottish Borders. On a day that was due a heap of rain, the sun shone and shone. With guidance from Lindsey at Hoscote and Get Knotted, their wedding plans – all the details and ideas – became a reality. A truly beautiful day.
I’ve known Renate an Ryder for a few years and was so honoured to be invited along to record their day. Renate is incredibly beautiful anyway, but when she put on her her dress, well, there were tears forming! She looked gorgeous :) Teamed with her handsome man, they were a cracking bride and groom!
A fab day, so much fun! I’ll let the pictures do the talking now…
