{2017} In Review

2017… Where to begin? It was a funny year for me in the end. Having baby Jack in mid-July meant my year of weddings was split in two, in a way. The first half attending each wedding with an ever-growing bump and the second half excitedly telling all my couples about him, while at the same time being secretly pleased I could run around again! He was a heavy bump… With that in mind, I have to give a massive shout out thank you to all the second shooters who had my back this year – who ran around when I couldn’t, carried my bags, climbed up ladders and brought me water. You’re all fabulous xx

My couples… Thank you for welcoming me into your days. All of them were wonderful, no two were the same and I think that’s the core reason of what I love about being a wedding photographer – not just getting to know you, but experiencing the days as they unfold alongside you. Sounds gushy and hopelessly romantic? Yep! Sorry, but it’s true.

I got to visit some cracking venues last year and work alongside some incredibly talented and friendly people. The wedding industry is a very busy place but it’s lovely to arrive at bridal prep and see a familiar face smiling back from behind their hair-dryer, make-up brush, video camera, box of flowers… A big shout out to all the venues and suppliers I worked alongside is coming soon.

Choosing the images for this post wasn’t easy. I tried to be picky, but in the end decided, why? So here’s a few more than I thought there would be. Some moments I just had to share again. You can watch the slideshow, or scroll down at your leisure.

Every year the last word has to be for these guys and this year is no different. My boys have my back every day and now there’s a new guy to add to our gang. Thanks P, S, J. You’re the best xxx
