I grew up in Buxton, Derbyshire in the heart of hill-walking, rock-climbing, spa water-drinking, fresh-air countryside. A camera always in-hand, I seemed to be the ‘picture-taker’ wherever I went and, to this day, I still love this role that I’ve found. I struggle to relax if I don’t have a camera with me and always get excited (that little leap in the pit of my stomach) when I think I’ve snapped a cracker and even get another leap when I look at the picture and know that I have…
From the well landlocked Buxton, to my current home of seaside Portobello, Edinburgh – I now start my mornings looking at the water, the runners on the prom and the swimmers in the shallow break (braver than me!) and I can’t get enough of the sea-air.
From an outdoor love of the country to an outdoor love of the ocean, I’ve brought this to my photography. You won’t find me in a studio, instead I’ll be shooting couples on their wedding day, in their chosen venue, the place they’ll remember forever. Or out and about on engagement shoots, in the places my couples fell in love, or enjoyed visiting, or wanted to visit, or even where they got engaged… Or with families, babies, toddlers running around (often on Porty prom!), enjoying being part of a family, out in the fresh air.
My weddings are taking me further and further afield. While most are in Scotland, I have an incontrollable love of travelling and if I go, my camera goes. If you’re based, well, anywhere, get in touch as I don’t let distance influence where I go…

Things I love…
Piles of books lovingly read, Sunday morning cups of Earl Grey tea, pints of beer in a cosy pub, my husband and his kind blue eyes, autumn trees and fallen leaves, baths with books, stinky cheese, visiting new far-away places, making lists in new notebooks, buying notebooks, red wine and scrabble (in that order), hot chocolate with a splash of rum, attempting to surf in chilly seas, warm days with a cool breeze…
