Oh how spoilt we are for having beautiful venues in East Lothian. Broxmouth Park, which Sophie and Dave chose for their reception venue headed off to after getting married in the beautiful setting of Aberlady Parish Church. What a beautiful day to celebrate an amazing weding with their lovely family and friends – a lot of whom I’d had the pleasure of meeting before having photographed Sophie’s sister’s wedding (hello Selina and Matt!) a few years ago.

Sophie and Dave got in touch before I moved down here to sunny Dunbar, so I took advantage of my new local knowledge and Sophie’s wish to find a field of long grass to good use and kept my eyes peeled for a scenic backdrop we might visit on the day. I lucked out with this gorgeous field of wheat just 5 minutes from my house! Imagine my horror when the night before the wedding, THREE combine harvesters parked up nearby…!! Luckily they didn’t get to work until after we’d had chance to get a few photos. Phew!

An amazing day for two lovely people. Here’s a few photos…
