{Baby Ewan}

I spent a fab afternoon taking photos of gorgeous Baby Ewan last summer (how fast has that gone?!) and having a good catch up with his mum, Lisa. He’s been one of the stars of the family section of my website since then, but it was high time I blogged his photos!

Lisa and I go way back, having been in the same form all through secondary school. We hadn’t had chance to have a proper catch up in years, so it was great fun having a good chat over a cuppa – hearing about each other’s weddings, trips away we’ve had with our husbands, plans for the future and all that’s happened since we last had chance to see each other – and at the same time I got to meet her beautiful little boy, Ewan.

Ewan is the most kind-natured baby, full of smiles and giggles and is so much fun to be around, I couldn’t help but take lots of photos. Here’s a few of my favourites…

{Wedding Show} Come and say hello!

I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be exhibiting (if that’s the right word?!) at the Thee Wedding Show at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on Saturday 31st March and Sunday 1st April.

I’ll be at my wee stand (which I really should start to organise!) with my brand-spanking new portfolio to show you and a big smile on my face, ready to chat WEDDINGS! Love it!

{Renate & Ryder} Engagement

Chilly days at the mo! But I love how crisp the light is at the moment, especially with all the blue skies. The afternoon of Renate and Ryder’s engagement shoot was just like this – as we walked along the Water of Leith and up to the Modern Art Gallery the blue sky was peeking through the trees and the sun was shining down the river – fab!

I popped a sneak peek of their shoot up here and on Facebook last week and had a great response to their photos. I thought a few more wouldn’t go a miss! I love these pics and it’s all thanks to their personalities – so much fun and so much love, good times!

{Caroline & Tracey} Civil Partnership

You may remember me posting not only a sneak peek from Caroline and Tracey’s AMAZING day, but also pictures from their engagement shoot, whereby I spent every second in their company giggling. Caroline & Tracey have the most infectious laughs and on the day of their civil partnership, it was pretty much business as usual – the happiest day, grins all the way!

Caroline and Tracey chose Edinburgh’s George Hotel for their big day and you can see why – the hotel’s stunning interior made the chilly (but gorgeously clear) November day no issue – inside was all you could ask for! Although we were blessed by the most amazing light on the roof-top terrace (opened up privately just for their photos! Thank you George Hotel team!), the sun beginning to fall at just the right time.

Congratulations again my loves! Have an ace time in Thailand!! xx

{2011} Wedding & Engagements

Less than 10 hours until the new year reaches the UK! Just in time to post a quick blog about 2011…

Tons has happened this year. Tons. Thank you to the lovely brides and grooms who welcomed me into their wedding days and let me continue this fab job – each wedding this year has been different from the last and I loved every single one! I explored new venues, new towns, travelled beyond Scotland to not just England, but Northern Ireland too. I met some fab people, made a lot of new friends, and can’t wait to see what 2012 has to bring.

Folio {My new portfolio}

It was completely unplanned, but my new portfolio arrived at a very apt time. Having shot my last wedding of the year the weekend before last, I’ve been thinking a lot about 2011 and all that has happened: An amazing year, full of wonderful weddings and engagements. More on that in a future post…

A day or so after arriving home, my new portfolio arrived. And I love it. I love the jade green of the leather, the embossed logo, the way the pages gently lie flat to present a full double page spread with no lost image down the middle. I love the feel of the paper, the way each page has been treated with care by the amazing people at Folio, and I love that this one is mine to keep and proudly show.

Thank you, Folio, for doing such an amazing job.
