Caledonian Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh || Catherine & Liam

I’ve known Catherine for years - we used to work together at the wonderful Scottish Chamber Orchestra many moons ago. So coming into Saturday I was EXCITED. Not just to see an old friend, but to see her marry her Liam - two of the best-matched souls (who didn’t stop smiling) there ever could be. They are also a total hoot so it was always going to be a good laugh and it didn’t disappoint.

City weddings are always great fun and with the Waldorf Astoria being smack in the middle of Edinburgh city centre it meant we were just a stone’s throw from Prince’s Street Gardens for photos. As a total bonus, we also got permission to visit the rooftop bar of the new Jonny Walker Experience and take in breath-taking views over the city scape - and across to Liam’s beloved Fife too!

Here’s a few from Saturday, a cracking day all round. If you’re wondering what the looks of surprise are: Catherine didn’t know Liam would be wearing a kilt on the day, hence her awesome expression walking down the aisle! And, being a life-long Newcastle FC supporter and Alan Shearer superfan, her dad presented her with a card from the man himself during the speeches. Priceless.
